Messenger Broadcast
A Messenger broadcast sends one promo message to customers who allowed promo messages from your Page. You choose the subscribers, write the message, set the schedule and the budget, and send. Konektor shows the results.
Meta charges the cost of the broadcast to your ad account, not to Konektor.
Requirements
Make sure all of these are true:
- Your role in the workspace is owner or admin.
- Your Facebook Page is connected in Integrations. Read Connect Facebook and Instagram.
- You have an ad account with full control, and the ad account has a payment method.
- You accept the Marketing Messages terms from Meta in the Meta window.
When the Messenger tab does not show on the Broadcast page, the feature is not on for your workspace. Contact support@konektor.id.
Connect an ad account
- Open Conversations > Broadcast.
- Click the Messenger tab.
- Click Connect ad account.
- Log in with Facebook. Accept the Marketing Messages terms in the Meta window.
- Choose the Facebook Page and the Ad account, then click Save.
When you or your client manage assets in a Meta business portfolio, click I use a business portfolio in step 3. This choice is for agencies and businesses that manage assets in a business portfolio.
After you save, the Broadcast account card shows the Page, the ad account, the status, and the number of promo subscribers.
| Status | What you do |

| Active | Nothing. You can create a broadcast. |
| Needs a new login | Click Connect again |
| Needs a payment method | Add a payment method at Meta, then click Connect again |
| Terms not accepted | Click Connect again and accept the terms in the Meta window |
| Region not supported | Click Choose another account |
Click Update subscribers to reload the subscriber list. Click Disconnect to remove the account. Running broadcasts stop and the subscriber list is deleted. The reports of past broadcasts stay.
Subscribers
A subscriber is a customer who allowed promo messages from your Page. The customer taps the promo permission button in Messenger.
You can also ask for permission from the Inbox:
- Open a Messenger chat that is still within 24 hours.
- Click Ask for promo permission in the reply box.
The rules:
- You can ask for permission only while the chat is within 24 hours.
- One customer gets one request in 30 days.
- A customer who stops does not get promo messages again.
Create a broadcast
- On the Messenger tab, click Create broadcast.
- Follow the four steps. Click Continue to move to the next step.
| Step | What you do |
|---|---|
| Audience | Choose All active subscribers or Subscribers with a label. The page shows the number of recipients. |
| Message | Fill in Broadcast name and Title. Add a greeting, a subtitle, an image, and up to three link buttons when you need them. |
| Schedule | Choose Send now, On a date and time, or At a set hour in the customer time. Set Quiet hours when you need them. |
| Cost and send | Fill in Total budget, check the summary, then click Send. |
Message
- The title and the subtitle cannot use a variable.
- The greeting can use the first name. Click Insert first name.
- An image is JPEG, PNG, or WebP, at most 2 MB.
- A button link must start with https://.
- How it looks in Messenger shows a preview of the message.
Schedule
- Send now: the first message leaves about 1 hour after you tap Send. Meta needs that time to prepare the send.
- On a date and time: the message leaves at that time, in the time zone of your business.
- At a set hour in the customer time: each customer gets the message at that hour in their own time zone. A customer without a time zone uses the business time zone. Read Messenger customer profile.
- Quiet hours hold messages at night in the customer time.
Cost
Total budget is the cost limit for this broadcast. Meta does not charge more than this amount. The page shows the Meta estimate of delivered messages when it is available.
Before the messages leave, Konektor shows Send this broadcast? with the number of subscribers, the maximum budget, and the ad account. Click Send to ... subscribers to confirm. Konektor sends nothing before you confirm.
When the Send button is off, read the reason under the button.
Watch the results
- Click the broadcast in the list.
- Look at Progress and Results.
