Lead source only says WhatsApp

Source ads means the message carried ad data: ctwa_clid, an ad URL, or an ad source type. Without that, the source is WhatsApp and the campaign fields can be empty.

When the campaign name is missing from the message, Konektor uses the referral headline as the fallback campaign name. That headline can be a page title, not the campaign name in Ads Manager. Example: "Toko Kacamata Senja | Beranda". The campaign ID stays empty.

How to check one lead

  1. Open the lead in Leads.
  2. Read the source. ads means ad data arrived. WhatsApp means it did not.
  3. An owner opens Attribution Parameters.
    • ctwa_clid is filled: the Click-to-WhatsApp click was read.
    • ctwa_clid is empty and the source is WhatsApp: this message did not carry an ad referral.
    • The campaign name looks like a page title, and the campaign ID is empty: Konektor used the referral headline as a fallback name. That is not the campaign name in Ads Manager.
  4. Confirm the number on the ad is the number connected in Konektor. A different number does not bring the ad referral into this workspace.
  5. Pancake does not forward ctwa_clid. Kapso forwards it. Channels that do are listed in Click-to-WhatsApp Conversions.

A visitor code [K-...] on a message from a site link ties the click to the recorded visit. A page title pasted into the opening message does not fill the campaign.

A higher ad-chat count than the lead count is explained in An ad chat is not a lead.
