Lead Map
The Lead Map shows where your leads come from, then pairs every area with its own funnel. The page answers two questions at once: where leads come from, and which areas actually close.
Lead volume alone is not enough to decide. One province can send thousands of leads and close few, while another sends few leads with a high conversion rate. The Lead Map shows both numbers side by side.
Benefits
- Ad budget allocation. Raise the budget in areas with a high conversion rate. Lower it in areas with high volume and few closes.
- Diagnose weak areas. An area with many leads and few closes points to a problem in the offer, the response speed, or the product fit.
- Team scheduling. Match team hours to the time zone the leads come from.
- Operational decisions. Choose branch locations, warehouses, or delivery areas from proven demand.
- Language and messaging. Match the message style to the areas that produce the most closes.
How to Access
- Sign in to the Konektor dashboard.
- Open the Ads Analytics menu.
- Select the Lead Map tab.
The page is available to the workspace Owner and Admin roles.
How to Read the Map
The map opens on the country with the most leads. A darker colour means more leads. The legend below the map shows the scale, including a neutral colour for areas with no leads.
There are three drill-down levels:
| Level | What it shows | How to enter |
|---|---|---|
| Country | Every country the leads come from | Initial view |
| Province | Provinces in Indonesia | Click Indonesia |
| City | City points inside one province | Click one province |
Use the breadcrumb above the map to go back a level. The View world button returns the map to the whole world. The zoom buttons at the top right make the map larger or smaller.
At city level, the point size follows the lead count. Name labels appear only for the 10 largest cities, to keep the map readable.
Funnel Panel
The panel beside the map shows the funnel for the area you selected. Its title follows the breadcrumb.
The funnel lists 11 lead status stages with their counts. Below the funnel, the Lost stage appears separately, because those leads already left the flow.
Each bar length is measured against the largest stage. This is deliberate: in real data the stages do not always decrease in order. A lead can respond directly without ever being marked "Contacted". A bar that does not decrease in sequence is not a system error.
Top 10 Area Table
The table below the map lists the areas with the most leads at the active level. Its columns:
- Area - the country, province, or city name.
- Leads - the lead count in the active date range.
- Won - the count of leads with a won status.
- Conversion rate - won divided by leads.
- Share - a bar comparing the area to the top one.
Click a row to move the map to that area.
Filters
The filters sit at the top of the page and apply to the map, the funnel, and the table together:
- Date range
- Lead source - website, WhatsApp, ads, and others.
- Ad platform - Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn.
The maximum date range is 366 days.
Where does the location data come from?
Konektor reads an approximate location when a lead first touches your page. The location comes from the network, not from an address the lead typed.
The consequences:
- City precision is approximate. A city point sits at the city centre, not at the lead's address.
- A lead can appear in their office city rather than their home city, when they open the page from the office.
- VPN users appear at the VPN server location.
Use the Lead Map to read patterns across large numbers. Do not use a single point to conclude one person's address.
Privacy
The map, the funnel, and the table show aggregate figures only. The page shows no name, phone number, email, or address. To see one lead, use the Leads page.
Common Problems
"Some leads have no location"
This notice appears when some leads carry no location data at all. The most common cause is a lead that arrives straight from WhatsApp without ever opening your page, so there is no visit to read.
Those leads are not lost. They still count in the workspace total and they remain on the Leads page. They only cannot be drawn on the map.
"Some areas have no shape on the map"
Some small countries and island territories have no shape on the map in use. Leads from those areas still appear in the table and still count in the funnel.
New provinces share a shape with their parent province
The four Papua provinces created in the 2022 split - Central Papua, South Papua, Highland Papua, and Southwest Papua - share a map shape with the province they came from. Their names still appear separately in the table, and they still drill down to city level.
