One flow to connect WhatsApp
Four paths use the same flow, including a number that stays active in the WhatsApp Business app.
Connect WhatsApp now has one flow with four stages for every path: Choose a path, Prepare, Connect, and Start using. The paths are WhatsApp Business app, New official number, Through a provider, and Scan QR.
The WhatsApp Business app path connects a number that is still active in the app. You keep replying from your phone, and your team replies from the inbox. Messages copy in both directions, and the last 6 months of chats can copy too. Open the app on your phone at least once in 14 days so the number stays active.
The Connection status page now shows all numbers from the four paths. Each row shows the path, the status (Active, Pending, Needs attention, Disconnected), one sentence for the reason, and one main button such as Connect again or Scan again. When WhatsApp disconnects an app number, the row explains why.
Disconnect now asks you to confirm and says what happens next.
