New feature

WhatsApp rules can now call another API

The new Call another API action sends lead and message data to Zapier, Make, n8n, or your CRM when a rule matches.

  • WhatsApp rules have a new action: Call another API. It sends a request to an API in another system when a rule matches.
  • You choose the method (POST, PUT, PATCH, or GET), a public https address, headers, and authentication.
  • The request body uses lead and message variables, for example {{lead.name}} and {{message.text}}. The editor checks that the result is valid JSON.
  • Konektor stores headers, tokens, and passwords in encrypted form. After you save, the page shows only the last 4 characters.
  • Konektor tries again up to 3 times when the API answers 408, 429, or 5xx, or when the request times out. Other 4xx answers are not tried again.
  • Each request carries the header X-Konektor-Rule-Run-Id. Use this ID to drop duplicate requests.
  • This action runs for messages from QR sessions and partner channels.
